Head Coach Bolling Dubose will have another banner to hang in the gym at Jefferson High School. The Dragons were crowned region champions after going 3-0 in the region tournament. They defeated Oglethorpe County 74-45, Rabun County 60-56 and had a thrilling 53-51 win over Greene County High School for the title.

Jefferson was down by 18 points but sailed through the fourth quarter by playing extremely smart while Greene County succumbed to the Dragons’ incredible play. Tyler Patrick anchored JHS with 15 points, eight of which came in the fourth quarter.

Jefferson will take a similar route as the football team as they will host Kendrick High School in the first round of the state tournament. The Dragons were awarded as the No. 1 seed throughout the playoffs; if the Dragons win, they will either face off against Model or Westminster High School. Model is 14-10 and Westminster is 15-12 on the season.
