The beginning date for the Hoschton Heritage Arts Center class in quilting has been delayed by one week. The F 123 Creating Your Own Heirloom Quilt class will begin on Wednesday, Jan. 23, instead of Jan. 16 as previously advertised.
“This will give more people a chance to sign up for this wonderful class,” said Robbie Bettis, who chairs the Hoschton Heritage Arts Council. “Susan Rice is an excellent instructor and has worked hard to put together the necessary sewing machines, quilting samples and lesson plans.
“The community needs classes like this one and we hope that the people who want to learn to quilt know about this opportunity,” said Bettis.
The fee is $75 and participants will have their own quilt when the class is complete.
“Participants may select their own fabric and make as large a quilt as they desire,” says Rice. “The feeling of accomplishing something as wonderful as a beautiful quilt is amazing. You will make new friends and can share your knowledge with a new group forming soon – the Quilt with Friends in Hoschton.”
More information on the F 123 class may be found on www.hoschtonheritageartscouncil.com. Registering on the website is easy but interested individuals may also phone 770-540-1099.
C107 Advanced Beginners Knitting-Learning to Read a Knitting Pattern is offered on Tuesdays beginning Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. Karen Beckstine is the instructor. Preregistration is always encouraged.
