Three Bethlehem Dollar General armed robbery suspects sought

An armed robbery that occurred just after 10 p.m. on Nov. 27 at the Dollar General Store in Bethlehem is under investigated by the Barrow County Sheriff’s Office.

Three unidentified black males entered the store just off Highway 316 and committed an armed robbery by threatening the cashier. The trio fled with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency.

The cashier was cleaning the store and preparing to close when the three men entered. One man grabbed the female cashier by the neck and forced her to the ground. At least one of the suspects threatened the same cashier with a handgun. There was a second employee in the store who heard the incident and locked herself in the office where she was able to dial 911. The suspects fled prior to the arrival of deputies.

Barrow County deputies and investigators responded to the scene, and investigators are currently following up on leads.

The faces of the perpetrators were partially concealed during the crime but images from the store’s video surveillance are being released to the public in hopes of identifying the suspects. (See the photo gallery below.)

Anyone who may recognize the suspects, or who has information about this incident should contact the Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division, at 770-307-3080, ext. 3083.
