On Nov. 16, the lunch lines at West Jackson Intermediate School were more than twice as long when it came time for the fourth grade to eat lunch.
Fourth-grade parents and grandparents joined their students for a lunch in the school cafeteria that included chicken tenders, salad and even carton of milk.
“I love it. Sam was most excited this morning about me being able to come have lunch with him,” said Malynde Weaver.
However, for some of the students the most exciting part was the possibility of leaving early after a meal with their special guest.
“I’m just glad she gets to come and that she gets to check me out,” said Weaver’s son Sam.
