Celebrating day is Saturday at Coolray Field

Celebrate America Recycles Day with the Gwinnett County Solid Waste and Recovered Materials Division from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 17, at Coolray Field, home of the Gwinnett Braves.

This free event will feature paper shredding, electronics recycling and tire recycling. There is a cash fee of $10 per TV and a limit of eight tires per vehicle and no dealer tires. See a list of electronics that will be accepted the day of the event below.

There will also be kids’ activities, free food and giveaways while supplies last.

Volunteer are needed during the America Recycles Day event. Volunteers will be assigned to serve from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Visit www.volunteergwinnett.net to sign up as a volunteer.

Among the items that Office Recycling Solutions will pick up include: Cabling, LCD Monitors, Cell Phones Media, CD Rom/DVD/CDRW, Medical Devices, Computers / Laptops, PDA/Handheld Devices, CRT Monitors, Phone Systems,

Digital Cameras, POS equipment, Dry-Sealed Rechargeable Batteries, Printers, DVR/VCR Scanner products, Electronic Devices Servers / Switches, Electronic Components, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Industrial switching and TVs ($10 cash charge)
