Weather permitting, Commerce’s new traffic signal at State Route 98 and B. Wilson/King Roads will be operational next Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the new signal is currently in flash mode.
Each intersection is reviewed to determine if the intersection meets the Federal guidelines for the installation of a traffic signal. The intersection of State Route 98 and B. Wilson/King Roads met those requirements.
“Please slow down through the area while crews finish their work at the new signal. Once the signal is operational, please use extra caution until you get familiar with the new signal location. Remember to watch out for other drivers until they get used to the new signal too,” said Georgia DOT District Traffic Engineer Brent Cook.
